Boucheron's Reflet watch collection appeared in 1947 during the post-war years. This period, which saw the emergence of contemporary art, gave these watches a modern gadroon motif that symbolized Boucheron's alliance with the French capital. The watch was particularly popular with singer Edith Piaf, who owned up to twenty of them.
