Long necklace in 18Kt yellow gold and barrel clasp in 18Kt pink gold (hallmark: ram's head) composed of a belcher chain, as well as a barrel clasp finely chiseled with enameled floral motifs.
French work from the beginning of the 19th Century, circa 1819 to 1838.

Length: 128.00 cm
Clasp (rings included): 1.30 X 3.80 cm
Condition: slight micro scratches on the gold parts, a ring has been added to the chain to replace a link, very slight wear to the enamel, see photos.
Originating from the north of France, these long chains were called "witches", they were often decorated with a barrel clasp of cylindrical shape, with proportions similar to those of a barrel.
