Cartier Vendôme - Small Model - 1982 (full set)

Vendôme: a rendezvous at the heart of creation

Description

The Vendôme de Cartier? As elegant and timeless as the Place itself! The perfectly round, almost seamless case evokes the simplest watch form. The bracelet, connected to the case by delicate horizontal links, seems barely to hold the watch. And of course, a reverent adherence to Cartier's codes: a railway-style minute track, blued hands, and a winding crown adorned with a sapphire cabochon. Utterly refined!

This 1982 Cartier Vendôme, in 18-carat yellow gold, comes with all its documents and its original case.

Why did Françoise choose her?

Just like the square of the same name, the Cartier Vendôme evokes luxury and its subtlety. A discreet model with fine lines. That's why we have complete confidence in it. The Vendôme also allows us to offer a model with a round dial, a feature that was then uncommon at Cartier, known for its "shaped" watches.

Furthermore, Françoise likes watches whose smaller dimensions make them discreet models and particularly suitable for thin wrists.

Thanks to its white dial and ultra-thin case, it can be paired with any strap color to suit your taste and the season. This Cartier Vendôme is truly perfect for any occasion. Neither too elegant nor too casual, it's ideal for everyday wear, perfect for work or an evening out.

History

As early as 1934, Louis Cartier patented a new way of attaching leather bracelets: on either side, a horizontal bar was inserted into a central loop fixed to the case.

The Cartier Vendôme was introduced around 1973 as a tribute to the eponymous Parisian square, a meeting place for jewelers and watchmakers. The two clasps are said to evoke the two streets leading to Place Vendôme: rue de la Paix and rue de Castiglione.
