Amethyst and Rose Gold Pearl Earrings

Earrings dangling, in rose gold and 18kt yellow gold (hallmark: owl), set with round amethysts surrounded by small pearls.

Condition: very slight micro-scratches, oxidation and traces of soldering on the gold parts. Natural inclusions and abrasions on the amethysts, see photos.

 

Legend has it that the nymph Amethyst pursued by Dionysus, begs Artemis for help. Our ancient girl power figure turns her into rock crystal. 

The angry god pours hard wine over the crystal, giving it its crimson color.
