Art Deco Ring with Unheated Ceylon Sapphire 4.40 Carats and Diamonds

Platinum engagement ring (hallmark: mascaron), set in its center with an unheated Ceylon sapphire, of an intense blue, cushion cut, weighing approximately 4.40 cts, in a setting of 8x8 cut diamonds, the total weight of which is estimated at approximately 0.35 ct (estimated color H, estimated clarity).

Sapphire accompanied by its Carat Gem Lab certificate, specifying natural Ceylon sapphire without thermal modifications.

Condition: very light micro-scratches on the platinum parts, natural inclusions in the stones, slight wear on the setting, and slight abrasion on the stones, see photos.

The main sapphire deposits are located in the Ratnapura region in the southwest of the island. These are generally easily accessible alluvial deposits.
