18Kt yellow gold daisy engagement ring (hallmark: eagle's head), set in its center with an oval Ceylon sapphire whose weight is estimated at approximately 1.70 cts, in a setting of brilliant-cut diamonds, whose total weight is estimated at approximately 1.20 cts (estimated color H, estimated clarity VS).

Vintage French work.

Gross weight: 5.11g
Pattern height: 1.60 cm
Pattern width: 1.30 cm
Ring size: 50 1/2 (16.00 / US 5.25)

Condition: very light micro-scratches on the gold parts, very light abrasion of the stones, and natural inclusions in the stones, see photos.

The main sapphire deposits are located in the Ratnapura region in the southwest of the island. These are generally easily accessible alluvial deposits.
