Daisy diamond and fine pearl ring
Antique daisy engagement ring in 18Kt yellow gold, set in its center with a fine button pearl (diameter: approx. 8.2mm), surrounded by old-cut diamonds (estimated color HI, estimated clarity VS to SI) with a total diamond weight estimated at approximately 1.40 cts.
Pearl accompanied by a certificate from the LFG (French Gemmological Laboratory) specifying fine seawater pearl with no indication of treatment.
19th century work.
Gross weight: 4.45g
Ring size: 50 (diameter 16.00 / US 5.25).
Pattern height: 1.50 cm
Condition: slight micro-scratches on the gold parts, slight wear to the setting, micro-scratches and natural relief of the pearl, impact and slight loss on a diamond, see photos.
Did you know that fine (or natural) pearls are very rare since their discovery is a matter of chance?
And what is rare is precious: this is the case during the Ancient Rome (and up to the creation of the first cultured pearl in 1920) where pearls symbolize status, authority, and adorn high-ranking figures.
All our engagement rings.
