Art Deco oval engagement ring platinum white gold and diamonds

Art Deco engagement ring in platinum and 18kt white gold (dog and eagle head hallmark) set in its center with a half-cut diamond weighing approximately 0.20Ct (Estimated color H, estimated purity VS), in a diamond surround cut in rose, the total weight of which is estimated at approximately 0.10Ct.

French work circa 1935, Art Deco.

Gross weight: 2.90g Finger size: 55 (diameter 17.50/ US 7.00). Pattern height: 1.40cm

Condition: very light micro scratches and oxidation on the gold and platinum parts, see photos.

The Art Deco movement, short for “Decorative Arts”, was born around 1910. It reached its peak in the 1920s and then declined in the 1930s. In reaction to the rounded and organic forms of Art Nouveau, this “Roaring Twenties” style ” develops geometric and refined shapes.

We recognize this artistic movement on this engagement ring thanks to the different geometric shapes which adorn the tray with multiple details.
