CHRISTOFLE - Gold and Silver Gadrooned Bangle Ring
Vintage 18k solid gold (750/1000) and sterling silver pinky ring, stamped with an eagle's head hallmark and a lozenge-shaped maker's mark. French work from the 1980s/1990s, signed "CHRISTOFLE" inside the band. The ring features a wide band with three gadroons, the gold one sandwiched between the silver ones. It is centered with the same three-gadroon motif in a vertical position.
In 2025, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs dedicated a major exhibition to the Christofle silversmithing house. It aimed to show how, from its founding in the 1830s to the present day, this lineage of brilliant silversmiths, initiated by Charles Christofle (1805-1863) and Henri Bouilhet (1830-1910), transformed the lines and designs of silver, making them accessible for everyday life. This ring is part of this evolution, as Christofle began creating jewelry of this type in the 1980s.
Dimensions of the central motif: H 1 cm x L 0.8 cm
Weight: 6.97 g
Ring size: 47
