Contemporary Marquise Ring in 18-Carat Gold, Colombian Emerald and Diamonds

Contemporary ring dating from the 1990s (Vintage), made of 18-carat white gold (750 thousandths). It is set in its center with a Colombian emerald, with cut sides and an intense green called "vivid green", weighing 0.78 carats. This magnificent stone is highlighted by navette-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds, of exceptional quality. Colombian emeralds are mined from deposits located in the Andes mountain range, mainly in the mines of Muzo, Chivor and Coscuez . These mines were already exploited by pre-Columbian peoples long before the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors in the 16th century.
