ROURE - Saint Christopher pendant medal from the 1940s
Magnificent oval pendant medal in solid 18-karat yellow gold (750/1000), hallmarked with an eagle's head and a lozenge-shaped maker's mark. A vintage French piece from the 1940s, signed A. ROURE. It depicts the haloed bust of Saint Christopher holding his walking stick and the swaddled infant Jesus on his arm.
The background is sandblasted gold. The details of the child's face, arm, and veil are in bright rose gold. Engraved on the back with the monogram 'AM' and the date '19.6.1946'.
