Ring Surroundings in white gold, sapphire and diamonds

Ring 18-carat white gold. Circa 1970s, set with a dark faceted oval sapphire, set on a double surround of diamonds brilliant-cut. The sapphire measures 8.7 mm / 6.9 mm / 3.4 mm, hence 1.63 carats. The diamonds are 40 and measure 1 mm, giving a total of 0.40 carat. Condition: good overall condition, a few micro scratches from use.
